ISLAMABAD: Expressing dismay over massive rigging in by-polls on NA-237, the leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh here Wednesday demanded foresnic audit of every and every vote.
Addressing a press conference along with PTI Senator Saifullah Abro and ex-MNA from NA-237 Jameel Ahmed Khan at Punjab House here, he said the PPP in Sindh would soon meet it political demise.
He said Sindh went drowned into floodwater, but Foreign Minister Bilawal Zardari remained outside the country for some time and paid a few visits to Sindh, but he has no sympathy to the flood affectees.
He said the Punjab and KpK governments played a good role in relief and rehabilitation of the flood affected people but the Sindh government made corruption even in distribution or relief goods.
He said accumulated rainwater is still to be drained out from villages and farms of Sindh.
He said the nexus of the election commission and imported government stole NA-237 Malir Karachi through bogus voting. He said our party made a record by winning 8 seats out of 11 seats in the by-polls. He demanded forensic audit of each and every vote cast in NA-237 by-polls.
He said the election commission has deffered the LG polls in Karachi again, adding all other parties are afraid of the popularity of the PTI and they are not ready to face it in LG polls; hence, MQM blackmailed the federal government to get these polls postponed.
He said the people of Karachi have already rejected the MQM. He said the present election commission is working like personal servant of the government and the audio leaks have already proved it.
He said a revolution would come if early polls are not conducted. He said all experiments of political “laboratory people” have already failed.
Former MNA Jameel Ahmed Khan said that the government machinery was used in by-polls on NA-237 but the election commission took no notice. He said all the evidences about rigging have already been submitted to the Sindh High Court.
Senator Saifullah Abro said the claims of rehabilitation by the Sindh government are fake as whole Sindh is still inundated in floodwater.
He said massive bungling has been done in distribution of relief goods and it should be properly probed.
