Former Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim tied the knot with social media influencer Nyla Raja in a private ceremony.
Imad Wasim wrote on social media that he faced one of the most difficult periods of his life when his first marriage did not succeed.
He stated that despite that period, it gave him the greatest blessings of his life, namely his children.
He loves them beyond words, and this love will never diminish. After news of the second marriage, social media erupted with various comments and discussions.
He said that his delay and silence created a situation in which an innocent person faced undue criticism and judgments, which they did not deserve. He accepts full responsibility and sincerely acknowledges this burden.
He stated that by the grace of Allah and the guidance of his parents, he has now married Nyla. This step was taken with careful thought and clear intention to establish a life based on peace, stability and mutual respect.
He wrote further that Nyla has brought stability, dignity and strength into his life, and he is fully confident in this decision.
At the same time, Imad Wasim’s former wife, Sania Ashfaq, responded strongly on social media, allegedly levelling serious allegations.
She said in her statement: “Everyone has seen the evidence; truth can never be hidden.”
Sania Ashfaq further added: “Justice is required for our children and for the period we had to endure.
