Pakistan and the United States once again on a path towards friendly relations. High level visits of current Pakistani government officials and military chief, reconstructing the bridges between two countries brick by brick but there are few who are still trying to create misunderstandings with their lies and myths.
Relations between Pakistan and the United States were greatly suffered due to “regime change” allegations by former Prime Minister Imran Khan. But now with the new approach and communications at the highest level, the leadership of both countries are adapting “confidence building measures”.
Encouraging statements from the White House, State Department, Pentagon, Senators, and Congressmen puffing the fresh breeze while unsung heroes who quietly work to bring the two countries together also activated themselves but all these developments making a “black sheep” angry who always benefited himself with the “tense relations” not with the good ones.
You can call him an “imposter” , an entrepreneur or Pakistani American politician who always tries to gain something from the tense situations. He has some business interests in Pakistan, so details of his lies, fake stories are so long that can not be covered in this short article but let’s discuss a few.
He emerged on the scene in the last presidential elections when President Biden defeated Donald Trump. Like a professional “imposter” he portrayed himself as an elite’s class, hanging with the “movers & shakers” of Washington.
Media hungry and self-projection tactics always worked for him. He introduced himself in Washington as a close friend of President Biden, but this is another story that this gentleman arranged a ticket to attend Biden’s inaugural ceremony.
The “imposter” who was trying to impress PML N and PPP leadership in Pakistan for a long time, finally got his chance with Imran Khan after President Trump lost the elections.
Since President Biden came into power, his administration was avoiding the then Prime Minister Imran Khan, and this “imposter” smelled it a little earlier to make his moves.
Claiming that he is the close friend of President Biden he started impressing Mr Khan and his cabinet members with his lies. He got some money, so he also started taking care of Khan’s cabinet members. Khan’s cabinet was full of new graduates so fell into the trap and helped him get a seat in the Pakistani Caucus.
The then Ambassador of Pakistan to the US and “unsung” heroes expressed their concerns about this “imposter” but Khan and his cabinet members insisted on his inclusion in the caucus as this is the first time they were tasting the lust of power.
Since then, he made several trips to Pakistan and got huge favors, expanded his business and investments. Even got one of the highest civil awards of Pakistan – reason better known to them who advised it. It is worth mentioning here that on many occasions he was caught red handed by the former Pakistani Ambassadors in D.C with his lies as he always misguided Congress members and Pakistani government against each other – the only reason – is to make himself relevant.
He was exposed when President Biden refused to take the call of then Prime Minister Imran Khan. That was the time when he got confused about what to do but he claimed he can arrange this call on one week’s notice.
Weeks turned into months and months into years but that call never happened and finally Imran Khan was sent home by the Parliament of Pakistan.
After Imran Khan, he was going out of political business, so he came up with a new plan. He “Imposter” reached out to the exiled leader of PML N Mian Nawaz Sharif and offered him a place in the state of “cowboys”.
In his message to Nawaz Sharif, he said that “every day PTI supporters chant slogans in front of your house so to avoid them, move here in the US and your expenses will be taken care of” but he forgot that this is not Imran Khan, it is Nawaz Sharif who deals with his kind of “imposters” every day.
So that move has not worked out very well.
Then he has another plan to get the attention of Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. But he has no idea who he was dealing with.
In New York, Bilwal first came as FM to attend “food summit” and this “imposter” also reached without any invitation and got himself a seat at a dinner table with Bilawal.
As usual during the dinner “imposter” started throwing his “Resume” as how he was involved in mainstream American politics and how he can bring the United States and Pakistan closer.
Bilawal the born politician and sharp with his senses tried to avoid him when suddenly “imposter” started showing his pictures with Imran Khan, telling how close he is with the former Prime Minister. Bilawal expressed his anger that why he was showing pictures of Imran Khan to him, then a prominent Pakistani American asked the “imposter” to move away and let other people interact with the Foreign Minister.
There was another plan.
After a number of failed attempts “imposter” got in touch with the Pakistani military officials and recently again reached Islamabad to join the meetings of Congress members with the Government and other officials.
Sources confided that “imposter” was also involved in a physical fight with a well-known businessman of Houston after he tried to bully him to prove that Congress members were in Pakistan just because of his efforts.
“Imposter” who is very sharp with his tactics, myths and lies managed to meet with COAS Gen Bajwa by including himself in the delegation of Congress members.
“Imposter” was also in full swing during the UNGA session and tried hard to meet PM Sharif and FM Bilawal but did not succeed. Then he travelled to Washington D.C as FM Bilawal was here for some important meetings. “Imposter” was so furious for not getting a chance to meet FM Bilawal, so he came up with another plan. He conveyed to FM Bilawal that all of his meetings with the Congress members were arranged by him not by the Ambassador or Pakistan Embassy.
Reportedly that brings huge embarrassment for Ambassador Masood Khan.
Now, when the relations between Pakistan and the United States are getting on the right track, the “imposter’ is frustrated as no one is asking for his help or his involvement. He can not even digest the good work being done by the “unsung” heroes of the Pakistani community. Recently a big dinner and fundraiser of a sitting Senator was arranged here in Washington D.C by a prominent Pakistani American personality.
Sincere members of the Pakistani community were invited even the entrepreneurs and politicians and other public figures of other states were seen here but “imposter” was not there, despite claiming that he is the closest Pakistani friend of Senator like he was of Biden.
The height of the frustration, after he was not able to attend that dinner, he managed to make spam calls to the Senator’s office. In spam calls “imposters’ like him introduced them as a Pakistani journalist and asked the details of the Senator’s last trip to Pakistan trying to ask the details of his Pakistani donors. who funded that.
This matter is being investigated.
Imagine the level of frustration that this “imposter” was also involved in a fight with the sitting Consul General of Pakistan in Houston. There are witnesses, where he started abusing the Pakistani Consul General in an American Restaurant. The Manager of the Restaurant kicked him out of the restaurant for his behavior.
This matter is also being investigated at the foreign office of Pakistan.
Few honorable members of the Pakistani community confided that in private gatherings he was also accusing a few members of the Pakistani diplomatic community. “Imposter” is heard telling people that a few members of the Pakistani diplomatic community take money from him in the name of shopping, air tickets and trips for their families and friends.
This is also being investigated.
A group of honorable members of Pakistani Americans consisting of prominent Doctors, entrepreneurs and those actively involved in American politics recently reached out to Pakistani civil and military leadership and expressed their concerns about this “imposter”. They are also reaching out to the members of the Congress and Senate who he was involved with about how he is creating misunderstandings on both sides.
