In letter to Shehbaz, Joe Biden vows to work on green alliance, protecting human rights

ISLAMABAD: US President Joe Biden wrote a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressing his best wishes for the newly elected Pakistani government.

President Biden said the US-Pakistan partnership is important in ensuring the security of the world and US people.

This is the first letter of the US President after Shehbaz Sharif assumed office after coalition parties PMLN, PPP and others won the February 8 general elections.

President Biden extending support to the Pakistan, saying the US will stand with Pakistan in facing the challenges facing the world and the region.

The US president emphasized protecting public health, economic development and education for all is a shared vision.

“We will continue to promote this common vision together,” the US President said in a letter penned to the premier Shehbaz.

Biden said the US will also strengthen the Pakistan Green Alliance framework and both counties will strengthen alliance for environmental improvement.

The letter will continue to support sustainable agricultural development, water management and recovery from the devastating effects of the 2022 floods.

The US President is determined to protect human rights and promote development together with Pakistan.

“Will strengthen the strong partnership between the two nations,” Joe Biden’s letter stated and emphasized the close ties between the people of the two countries will further strengthen.
