My recent visit to IMCG F-6 School and College for Women, on the invite of Mr. Mohyuddin Wani reiterate that when intentions are sincere there are no excuses keeping us away from achieving our goals. And the incredible work led by Mr. Mohyuddin Wani, shows just this.
In a world often defined by limitations, this and other 100 plus schools in Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan are breaking new grounds. The vibrant Tech Labs, VR rooms, and AI and Coding labs aren’t just spaces filled with equipment; they are launching pads for young minds, proving that public education can and should be at the forefront of innovation. The sight of girls engaged in robotics, creative writing, and mind games shows that learning is not a chore but a thrilling adventure.
Students not just sit at desks but actively participate, whether it’s giving a presentation in the AI and Coding room or strategically moving pieces on a chessboard in the Mind Games room. And then there’s the Kashmir Arena, where I played paddle tennis with the girls—a powerful reminder that learning extends far beyond the classroom walls. This isn’t just about sports; it’s about providing opportunities and building confidence. It is a testament to the fact that with dedication and partnership, even activities that might seem exclusive, like paddle tennis, can be made available to all.

It’s clear that this transformation is built on more than just technology. The commitment to students well-being, evidenced by the provision of a sick room and professional counselors, reflects a deeper understanding of education as a holistic journey. By addressing mental health and creating a supportive culture, the school is nurturing not just brilliant minds, but resilient and confident individuals. While technology is a powerful tool, it is creativity, empathy, and the human spirit that truly light the path forward.
This initiative is a powerful example of what is possible when a community comes together. It shows that by stirring budgets and fostering public-private partnerships, we can provide a future that is not only bright but also fair and full of potential.

My visit to IMCG F-6 School and College for Women, hosted by Mr. Mohyuddin Wani, was a testament to the power of progressive education. The photos beautifully illustrate the school’s commitment to creating a vibrant, multifaceted learning environment.
Walking into IMCG F-6 School and College for Women, you don’t just see a school; you see a vision in action. Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Ms. Shazia Manzoor and with the unwavering support of Mr. Mohyuddin Wani, this institution is writing a new chapter of public education—one episode at a time.

The Software Technology Park is not just a room with computers; it’s a bustling hub of innovation, where young women are a part of a digital future. In the Skills Development Room, the hum of sewing machines tells a story of tangible skills being honed, empowering students with the tools they need for economic independence. The Culture Room stands as a vibrant testament to heritage, a beautiful space where traditional designs and artwork are celebrated. Reminding that while we embrace the future, we must also honor our roots.

But the most profound moments are often the most personal. My narrative-building workshop with the students was a chance to empower them with the art of storytelling—to help them find their own voices and share their unique perspectives. This is the very essence of true education: building not just knowledge, but confidence and creativity. Candid yet meaningful chit-chat with Principal Shazia Manzoor further highlights the collaborative spirit driving these changes. These educators who are not just teaching subjects but shaping lives. The five minutes podcast that I had with the students was refreshing.

And in a beautiful blend of technology, culture, and nature, the monsoon plantation drive where we planted Loqat and guava trees is a commitment to nurturing the environment, play our bit to curtail #climatechangeteaching the students that growth—both personal and #ecological—is a shared responsibility.

This visit was more than just a tour; it was an experience of seeing a dream come to life. Every corner, every activity, and every inspired face I encountered speaks to a future that is bright, inclusive, and rich with opportunity.
