ISLAMABAD, January 11: In Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), intermittent snowfall in Gilgit and other parts of the region has been continuing since Friday morning.
Gilgit Meteorological Office has measured two centimeters of snow on the ground. Meanwhile, Karakorum Highway has been closed for traffic between Gilgit and Rawalpindi.
The road was hit by landslides at Tatta Pani and Tang More in Pattan on Friday morning. According to reports, two scheduled flights between Islamabad and Gilgit were not operated due to bad weather.
And, Murree and Galiyat have been blanketed with white sheets of snow in the new spell of snowfall. Necessary arrangements have been made by the authorities to clear snow from the roads.
