ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s newly appointed High Commissioner to Australia, Irfan Shaukat, formally assumed his diplomatic responsibilities after presenting his Letter of Credence to Governor General Sam Mostyn AC at a ceremony held at Government House on Thursday.
During the ceremony, High Commissioner Shaukat conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Pakistan’s leadership to the governor general, who reciprocated the cordial sentiments.
In his remarks, the high commissioner reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening and expanding Pakistan–Australia relations, particularly in the areas of politics, trade, education, and science, while also enhancing people-to-people exchanges.
He further highlighted the valuable contribution of the Pakistani diaspora in fostering deeper ties and mutual understanding between the two nations.
