Islam Under Siege

It was 930 AD, Abu Tahir Al-Jannabi, a Persian, Qarmantian King, belonging to a breakaway faction of Ismaili Sect, during the Fatmid rule , ransacked Mecca on the day of Hajj.

He killed the pilgrims to the tune of about 10000. While doing so he was making fun of the Quranic Verses and was chanting; “I am from God, and God is from me. He creates and I destroy”.

He took away with him Hajr e Aswad, the sacred black stone, broke into pieces and fixed it on the footsteps of his latrine. It could only be recovered after 22 years. His troops would clean their rectum after defecation with the pages of Quran.

Let us rewind the history. It was  683 AD, Yazid sent an Army of Syrians to punish the Medinese for not accepting the allegiance to him being a Caliph, after his massacre of Imam Hussain AS and his 72 family and friends on 10th October 680.

Ibne Uqba attacked Madina, at al-Harra, killed about 700 of Ansar and Muhajirin, and about 10000 other Medinese. He declared Madina free for all troops (Mubah) for three days. They raped women from all ages including the close family and companions of the Holy Prophet. It is said that the following year nearly 1000 illegitimate children were born in Madina.

There are a lot of such heinous accounts available in the Muslim history. Despite that the achievements are in abundance. Upto the middle of 15th century the Europe was in miserable state of affairs. Hereafter was the Renaissance. But, prior to that the Muslims were reshaping the world.

Major works in medical field, astronomy, literature, science, Algebra, algorithm, architecture, etc was under taken by the Muslims. Whereas in Europe the church was ruling with most corrupt practices. The lesson learnt by Europe was to get rid of these leeches. By 17th century the church had weakened a lot. Catholic Church remained under the Pope. Church of England turned to the Protestants. Despite deep differences, the church was gradually sidelined.

It was different in the Muslim world. Very early in the days, the serious difference of opinion emerged. By the end of first caliphate, the empire, which extended upto the doorstep of Europe during the times of Caliph Umer bin AlKhitab, started cracking.

By 14th century, the infighting and unethical tutors of religion had shaken the very foundation. Banu Ummaya, Abasids, Fatmids, Ottomans, though contributed immensely but all lost control over the over zealous so-called mullahs.

Changehz Khan, Hallaku Khan, etc destroyed the hub of knowledge, Baghdad, and mercilessly killed all who invited them and those who were their opponents. Spain under the Ummayads, was a jewl of Europe. It is said that there were over 133000 inhabitants living in planned colonies in Cardoba in 10th century. Destruction of Muslims of Spain was again the incompetence of the rulers and the shortsighted clergy.

Now let us fast forward to 2020. The same old situation is prevalent today. Mullah is again out to create the rift. Majority of the so-called Muslim Ummah is governed by nothing more than the bunch of self-conceited leaders. Except for a few, no one has dared to raise their voice against the atrocities metted out to Muslims, may it be Kashmiries , Palestinians, Rohingias, Uyghurs, and very recently in India, especially in New Delhi.

Different schools of thought have their own actors and proxies within the countries and out side their borders. The players pull the strings. The divisions among the Muslims suit their interests. The best for them are the corrupt leaders and the imbecile mullahs.

Pakistan is no exception. The proxy NGOs are out there to create a deep drift in the society. Uncultured mullahs and their cronies are waging their war. Timely intervention of the level headed people and government officials is solicited to ward off an ugly stand-off.

Rid the religion under siege and let the people live in peace as per the statutes of our beloved Pakistan.
