BAHAWALPUR: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, the leading stake holder of the region, hosted the Inception workshop on elimination and understanding of child labor engaged in agriculture/cotton production.
This session was facilitated by Prof. Dr ASIF Naveed Ranjha. The event was Organized by FAO, PODA organization.
This consultation workshop was to engage stakeholder and academia in the discussion to develop a sustainable project. Department of agriculture, cotton production, anthropology, sociology and social work research scholar contributed to make this project a successful one.
PODA organization inked an MOU at VC secretariat with Worthy Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob (T.I).
The University not only studies and analyzes this regional issue but also helps to develop policies to resolve it. (Edited by Khadijah Kamili)
