Japanese Ambassador lauds Pakistan’s first Olympic qualifier shooter

ISLAMABAD: Kuninori Matsuda, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan on Wednesday felicitated  Pakistan’s shooter, Mohammad Khalil Akhtar for qualifying the next year’s Tokyo Olympics.

Ambassador Matsuda in his congratulatory message said, ” I am very delighted to learn that Khalil is the first Pakistani shooter who has qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. I congratulate him for the success.”

He also commended the National Rifle Association of Pakistan (NRAP) on their achievement, and wished them good luck for the mega event.

Ambassador Matsuda said Japan looks forward to maximum participation from Pakistan in the upcoming Olympics being hosted by his country . 

The Ambassador also expressed good wishes for Pakistani Men hockey team and other individuals and teams competing in the qualifying rounds for the next year’s Tokyo Olympics.

NRAP on Tuesday, announced Mohammad Khalil Akhtar, 35 years old from Pakistan Army has become the country’s first shooter to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. He has put up a splendid show in the World Shooting Cup held in Brazil which served as a qualifier for the next year’s Tokyo Olympics.
