JIT report brings Uzair Baloch’s crimes to light

KARACHI: The Joint Invstigation Team (JIT) report highlighting Lyari Crime Lord Uzair Baloch’s activities in Sindh, and particularly Karachi, has come to light.

The Sindh government had announced that the JIT report will be made public on Monday. According to the report, Uzair Baloch confessed to killing 198 people.

The JIT report said that Uzair Baloch was involved in the killing of people during the city’s gang wars and ethnic conflicts. He also used his influence to have seven SHOs deployed throughout the city.

According to the report, Uzair Baloch got Iqbal Bhatti appointed as TPO Lyari and in 2019, got Muhammad Raees appointed as Administrator Lyari. Despite his fleeing abroad, extortion money in millions was sent to Dubai each month.

The JIT report also revealed the purchase of various weapons between 2008 and 2013, as well as his implication in the target killing of several people.
