ISLAMABAD: Senior journalist Tariq Mahmood Malik died due to coronavirus. He tested positive for coronavirus and was on ventilator from several days.
According to the family sources, he tested negative in the last test before death but his lungs was badly affected due to corona.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of senior journalist Tariq Mahmood Malik.
He prayed for the departed soul and commiserated with the bereaved family.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of senior journalist Tariq Mahmood Malik.
He was working as senior reporter in a private News Channel. He mostly covered the beats on Defence and Foreign Affairs. He also worked as a teacher in National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad.
Journalist and the organizations expressed sorrow on his death. National Press Club announced a three days mourn on the death of the senior journalist. British high Commission also expressed condolences on his death.
