KOHAT: Two policemen were martyred during a heavy exchange of fire with terrorists in Kohat early Friday.
The gunbattle took place in the Nadir Banda area. One of the slain officers was identified as Sub-Inspector Tahir Nawaz, while the other was a police constable.

Following the attack, an intense shootout continued, and a heavy contingent of police was dispatched to the area.
This incident followed a separate firing attack on Thursday in which two policemen were injured between Shakardara and Nashpa. Police spokesman said that the injured officers, Muhammad Irfan and Khalid Khan, were shifted to KDA Hospital. Due to his critical condition, Muhammad Irfan was later referred to Peshawar for further treatment.
