MUZAFFARABAD: The Muzaffarabad Tigers played better and defeated the Overseas Warriors by seven wickets in the third clash of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL-2021) at the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium on Saturday.
Having won the toss, the Warriors elected to bat first against the Tigers but none of them could exceed 35 runs hit by Nasir Nawaz. Skipper Imad Wasim, with the help of four boundaries, could add 34 to the total 153/8.
Sohail Khan and Haider Ali hit 26 and 25 respectively. The Muzaffarabad Tigers’ Usama Mir won the Player of the Match award as he was the most successful bowler who sent three batsmen back to the pavilion.
The Tigers pulled together a good batting show with overall six sixers in the innings and 17 boundaries. Sohail Akhtar and Sohaib Maqsood hit 58 and 52 respectively. They guided the team to the winning stand with 16 balls remaining.
