LAHORE: The Lahore-Abdul Hakeem segment of Karachi-Peshawar Motorway has been opened for traffic.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed jointly inaugurate it.

This important segment of Karachi-Peshawar Motorway has linked district Sheikhpura, Nankana Sahib, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh and Khanewal to motorway network.
The motorway will gear up pace of socio-economic development in the areas located on its alignment besides generating new employment opportunities. The project will also facilitate transportation of agricultural products of these areas to the big markets of the country.
