LDA Seals 85 illegal Properties

LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Town Planning Wing has intensified its operations against illegal commercial construction and properties defaulting on commercial fees on the directives of Director General Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Tahir Farooq, said LDA officials

During the ongoing crackdown, LDA teams sealed 85 properties across various housing schemes and LDA-controlled areas. The operations were carried out in Gulberg, New Muslim Town, Samanabad, Gulshan Ravi, Punjab Government Employees Cooperative Housing Society, Awasi Society, and Mustafa Town.

Acoording to LDA officials , 17 properties in Gulberg, 28 in New Muslim Town, Samanabad, and Gulshan Ravi, and 25 in Punjab Government Employees Cooperative Housing Society and Awasi Society were sealed due to illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees. During recovery operations, 15 more properties were sealed in Mustafa Town.

The sealed buildings include private schools, clinics, colleges, pharmacies, beauty salons, hardware and paint shops, electric stores, restaurants, grocery stores, food outlets, shops, offices, and other commercial units.
