ISLAMABAD: A man was killed and another injured outside Islamabad district courts after their alleged rivals opened fire, police said.
The deceased was identified as Shehbaz, in his mid-20s, while the injured was named Nasir Khan. Police officials said initial investigations suggested personal enmity as the motive behind the attack.
Following the incident, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq took notice and sought an explanation from SP Saddar Zone and the sub-divisional police officer of the area. He also issued a show-cause notice to the station house officer of Ramana Police Station.
A police team under SP Investigation has been formed to probe the matter, while search operations are underway to arrest the suspects.
