MARDAN: Man was killed and his son critically injured in firing of unidentified armed men who fled the scene after committing the crime here on Saturday. The man who was killed identified as Fazal Akbar and his son Taj Akbar.
Mardan Police said that unknown gunmen barged into a house in Garyala area of Mardan and opened indiscriminate fire at the residents.
As a result of firing the house owner Fazal Akbar was killed while his son Taj Akbar sustained bullet wounds.
The assailants fled the scene. The body and injured were shifted to hospital.
Police said that the incident seems to be outcome of personal enmity, however, a case has been registered against unidentified gunmen and investigation was underway.
