NANKANA SAHIB: In the Jafar Colony area of Shahkot in Nankana Sahib, a person killed his sister in the name of so-called honor. After the gruesome murder, the accused escaped from the scene.
In the limits of Shahkot police station city, a person killed his married sister in the name of ‘honour’.
Shahkot is a town and one of three tehsils in the Nankana Sahib.
There was a bitter argument between the two which escalated to such an extent that the brother killed his sister in a fit of rage and ran away. The victim, Shazia, was the mother of a young girl.
Police took the body into custody and shifted it to THQ for post-mortem while the investigation of the incident started.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident that occurred in Sargodha, a person first shot dead his lover upon getting refused his marriage proposal. Moments later, he shot himself and passed away on the spot, in front of the dead body of the girl, whom he wanted to marry.
