Medical board to examine Imran Khan at Adiala Jail as PTI stages Parliament protest

A medical board is set to visit Adiala Jail today (Saturday) to assess former prime minister Imran Khan following increasing concerns regarding his reported eye condition, sources said.

A report about Imran Khan’s jail conditions was recently submitted by PTI lawyer Salman Safdar, who was appointed amicus curiae (friend of the court).

Senior government officials have informed PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan about the doctors’ visit, sources said.

As per the report, Imran Khan has complained of a serious issue with his right eye and claimed that he has lost 85 per cent of his vision in it.

Meanwhile, PTI parliamentarians along with Leaders of the Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain-e-Pakistan (TTAP) staged a late-night protest inside Parliament House on Friday over concerns regarding Imran Khan’s health.

Leaders of the party insisted that their sit-in would persist until the party founder is shifted to a hospital for treatment.

PTI lawmakers, who were Protesting, decided to spend the night outside the mosque located within the Parliament House complex.

Except for Margalla Road, authorities have sealed all entry and exit points to capital’s Red Zone.
