PESHAWAR: Cadet College Spinkai was promised by the Army Chief in 2011, which has been approved by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and the work on the college started in April 2012 and the college was set up at its temporary location in Chagmalai, South Waziristan. Mehsud tribe donated 730 kanals (92 acres) of land at Spinkai Ragzai for the cadet college.
The college is funded as an ADP project by FATA Secretariat under the guidance of Governor KPK as Chairman Board of Governors. UPAP (a UAE-sponsored NGO) pledged to fund the construction in two phases. Phase 1 commenced in March 2014 under the direct supervision of Army Engineers and was completed in May 2016.
The college shifted to its new campus at Spinkai on June 02, 2016.
The formal inauguration was done on 20 October 2016 by the then COAS, General Raheel Sharif, Hilai Imtiaz (Military). However, the Army and the FATA Secretariat are doing their best to build the necessary infrastructure.
Gradually increase the amount of cadets. Currently 200 cadets are undergoing academic character building and personality training at Cadet College Spinkai. By Roshan Khan Wazir
