ISLAMABAD: Millions SMS have been received for cash grant under ‘Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program’ on 8171 number for Rs 12,000 cash grant, said Dr Sania Nishtar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety here on Thursday.
Under Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program formally launched a day earlier, they have started receiving millions of SMS on 8171 for the Rs12,000 cash grant, she said while talking to Radio Pakistan’s Program.
Dr. Sania Nishtar said this program has been launched for the deserving families especially the daily wagers facing financial problems due to coronavirus.
She said the deserving families will be able to draw the cash grant from Wednesday next. Transparency has been ensured in the program by using the technology based system, she added.
The PM’s Special Assistant said we are ensuring there is no disruption in transportation of goods in order to ensure availability of essential commodities to the people.
Dr. Sani said that the decision to extend the partial lockdown till 14th of this month has been taken to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
