Minister takes notice of suicide attempt of TMA worker, seeks report

LAHORE: Punjab Human Rights & Minority Affairs (HR&MA) Minister Ijaz Alam Augustine Saturday took notice of the incident of suicide attempt in Tehsil Muridke of Sheikhupura and asked hospital administration to shift in Lahore after providing all basic medical facilities to Shan Masih.

The minister assured the Christian community that stern action will be taken against responsible and the rights of minorities would be protected at any cost in the regime of PTI.

According to the initial report, Shan Masih tried to set the fire himself after fired from TMA Muridke and admitted to THQ Muridke in critical condition but now he is out of danger.

The Christian community appealed the minister Ijaz Alam to take immediate notice of the incident while protesting in front of the TMA office Muridke.

PTI government had taken various steps to increase the religious harmony among all masses after coming into power like inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor between Pakistan and India.
