He said that genuine flour mills are cooperating fully and the Government is buying wheat only for flour mills but ghost mills want to blackmail for their own purposes.

Aleem Khan said that the Government would not come under any pressure and strict action would be taken against flour mills which were trying to increase prices unilaterally.

The Minister clarified that flour mills are allowed to have 72 hours stock of wheat which is being fully implemented and legitimate grievances of flour mills have already been resolved and will continue to be addressed for them and the doors are open. He said that after the end of wheat procurement drive in Punjab, flour mills would be allowed to have more quotas.

Khan said that citizens should not be left at the mercy of flour mills like this, nor will they be allowed to raise the prices of wheat and flour without any permission.
