Stones pelted on minister’s vehicle in Darra Adam Khel: Police

PESHAWAR: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Police Kohat, Tahir Ayub rejected reports about gun attack on vehicle of Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Shibli Faraz.

“Shibli’s vehicle was not attacked with gun but stones pelted on it which the smashed windscreen of the vehicle,” DIG said

Tahir Ayub said that a policeman in security squad of the minister was injured in the incident. The DIG Kohat said that Shibli remained unhurt in the attack and was safely
taken to Peshawar.

Earlier media reports said unknown suspects opened fire on Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz s vehicle in Darra Adam Khel.

Reportedly, the security guard and driver have sustained injuries in the incident. Luckily, the minister remained unhurt in the incident.

As per details, Shibli Faraz was travelling from Kohat to Peshawar after casting his vote in the local government elections.

On the other hand, Minster of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhary took it to Twitter and condemned the incident. He mentioned that unknown people opened fire on his car at Dara Adam Khel. During the incident, he remained save but his driver was critically injured and taken to the hospital. (With Input from INP)
