Misbah-ul-Haq steps down as Pakistan’s chief selector

LAHORE: Misbah-ul-Haq has on Wednesday stepped down as Pakistan national men’s cricket team chief selector and will now serve only as the head coach.
Misbah-ul-Haq was appointed as Pakistan’s chief selector and head coach in September 2019. He made a formal announcement pertaining to his decision in a news conference.
The 46-year-old was criticized by cricket experts and fans for keeping two posts at a time and questions were raised over his performance also after Pakistan lost Test series in England this summer.
