GHIZER : Two including mother and daughter committed suicide by jumping into river over unknown reasons here on Tuesday.
According to details, the incident took place in village Nazbar of district Ghizer of Gilgit Baltistan where 23-year-old mother and her 12-year-old daughter stated to be student class V, committed jumped into river.
Reasons behind the incident could not be ascertained. Police feared that stress over domestic disputes forced the two to take such frantic step.
The police and local people through joint efforts fished out the body of mother from while the operation for search of body of daughter was stopped till Wednesday morning due to darkness.
Increasing incidents of suicides have increased the worries of the people of district as it was fifth incident during recent months.
Meanwhile, the police after registering a case into the incident have started an investigation. (INP/SB)
