LAHORE: A petition was filed on Saturday in the Lahore High Court (LHC) to form a judicial commission in the motorway rape incident case.
The Punjab government, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Inam Ghani and Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Umar Sheikh were made parties in the application.
The plaintiff has taken the stance that the CCPO accused the affected woman of the incident and the Punjab Police have completely failed in providing protection to people.
Crime ratio has increased due to the negligence and non-professional behavior of the police, the petitioner said while requesting the court to form a judicial commission.
