Naatia Mushaira Enchants Audience at FM Punjab Rung Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: PILAC (Punjab Institute of Language, Art & Culture) illuminated the cultural landscape of Rawalpindi with a mesmerizing Naatia Mushaira held at FM Punjab Rung on the auspicious occasion of the holy month of Ramazan. The event, which took place on Monday, April 1st, saw a gathering of renowned poets and enthusiastic listeners.

Senior poet Naseem e Sehar graced the occasion as the presiding figure, while Qayyum Tahir adorned the event as the special guest.

A constellation of talented poets illuminated the stage with their verses, including Mohsin Sheikh, Mehboob Zafar, Saqib Imam Rizvi, Amin Kunjahi, Abdul Rehman Wasif, Abid Hussain Janjua, Riffat Waheed, Shazia Akber, Nusrat Yab Khan Nusrat, Mubashar Saleem, Riffat Anjum, Kamran Zahoor, and Mateeh Ahmed Mujtuba.

The duties of comparing and hosting were managed by Nasir Ahmed, the incharge of FM Punjab Rung Rawalpindi.

The management of the event was overseen by Deputy Director Shafat Abbas and Syed Amad Tabish, ensuring a seamless flow of proceedings.

Director General PILAC, Beenish Fatima Sahi, lauded the efforts of her team in orchestrating a successful Naatia Mushaira. During interactions with poets and attendees, she expressed PILAC’s commitment to promoting Punjab’s poets and culture, promising similar events in other regions of the province.

Looking ahead, Sahi announced plans for a grand Punjabi Mushaira post-Eid ul Fiter, extending invitations to poets from across Punjab. Naseem e Sehar applauded Director General PILAC for providing a platform to poets from Rawalpindi division, fostering cultural exchange and appreciation.
