Marking World Children’s Day 2025, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to protecting children’s rights and providing quality education.
The national celebrations focus on ensuring welfare and participation of children under the global theme ‘My Day, My Rights’.
PM Shehbaz Sharif highlighted Pakistan’s dedication to working with the global community to enhance children’s welfare, rights, and education, adding the future of nations depends on the development and education of children and stressed the importance of international cooperation.
He also said the government is implementing a comprehensive strategy for the mental and physical development, protection, and education of children. Projects like the Danish School Project, support under the Benazir Income Support Program, and educational scholarships were praised as steps toward this goal.
The PM reaffirmed that providing education is the government’s primary responsibility, noting the ongoing education emergency aimed at ensuring school access for every child. He emphasized that coordinated efforts among government institutions are crucial for meaningful progress.
