Nawaz’s platelets see yet another dip, currently stand at 30,000

Former PM's platelets count is 30,000 which had formally been restored to 55,000

LAHORE: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif’s medical condition remained unstable as his platelets dropped yet again while under intensive care.

The platelets count currently stands at 30,000 which had formally been restored to 55,000.

According to the last update on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s blood platelets count, it had reached 55,000 and his condition was stabalising.

The sources of the medical board, taking care of Sharif’s health, said that according to the complete blood count (CBC) report blood platelets of the former prime minister are increasing, which suggests improvement in his health.

Earlier on Monday INP reported that Nawaz Sharif’s platelets dropped to around 40,000.

The medical board taking care of the erstwhile premier’s health examined him and conducted further tests including the complete blood count (CBC). Sources have revealed that the doctors have stopped giving blood thinning medicines to Nawaz Sharif as the platelets count is reached to 40,000.

It has been learnt that the blood pressure of Nawaz Sharif, who has been admitted to the Services Hospital Lahore for fourteen days, is under control. However, his blood sugar level is unstable due to steroid injections. Insulin is being used to control diabetes.

On the other hand, Nawaz Sharif’s kidney disease is also creating complexities in his treatment. The former prime minister’s personal physician said in his tweet that the PML-N supremo is still in critical condition.

Nawaz Sharif has been admitted to Lahore’s Services Hospital for the last 14 days.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on October 25th granted bail to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on medical grounds in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case in which he was under NAB custody for corruption charges investigations.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had filed the bail application for the release of his brother from the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Later Islamabad High Court also allowed him eight weeks bail in Al-Azizia reference case in which he was convicted.
