KASUR:The police busted a seven-member notorious robber gang, recovered weapons, looted cash, other valuables and motorcycles here on Tuesday.
According to details, the police on a tip-off regarding presence of wanted criminals launched crackdown in Kanganpur area of Allah Abad in district Kasur.
During operation, seven-member notorious robber gang headed by Hassan Akhtar alias Moukali was apprehended with two rifles, four pistols, hundreds of rounds, Rs9,50,000 cash, jewelry, other looted valuables and three stolen motorcycles.
The police confiscated the recovered weapons, valuables and after registering a case against the detainees have started investigation.
District Police Office (DPO) Kasur, Abdul Ghaffar Qaisarani appreciating the police for its performance has announced cash prizes for the police team which took part in the operation.(INP)
