KARACHI: Where Coronavirus pandemic has brought a disaster and chaos, the mankind has adopted new effective ways of survival.
Iqra University being the lead in education has stepped way forward matching the pace of the millennial needs with the successful incorporation of Two Thousand, Five Hundred and Fourteen Online courses for the ongoing semester.
The institute has already been using their own smooth online portal for virtual learning previously but now they have heavily invested in Zoom where exclusive personal accounts for the faculty have been bought so that they may teach online, using their portals from home.
The higher management has keenly engaged the IT Departments throughout the campuses for ensuring the unobstructed delivery of classes for it envisions unimpeded teaching and learning in all situations.

Thus, the panel of hundred and fifty PhD’s along with the senior faculty members and adjunct faculty from the corporate world in varying genres ranging from Media Science, Business, Computer Science, Education, Engineering and Fashion Design are committed in online delivery of their subjects.
In addition, these online lectures are instructed to be aligned with VLE (virtual Learning Environment) where the students after taking the lectures may attempt online quizzes, assignments, read the relevant texts and even watch videos for help.
Moreover, the university has provided a special facility where the students may get back to the recorded lectures later and teacher’s feedback on their uploaded work.
It is obvious that delivery at such massive level was not possible without bringing teachers in confidence, hence, the management has reported to conduct the customized trainings prior then any delivery to the students however the circumstances did not allow for larger gatherings.
Thus, it was made sure that comparatively smaller groups of teachers have been invited per session considering the ongoing complications no matter it hugely added to the costs at the institutes’ stake. And, now the university’s IT assistance is available to the teachers and the students for continuous support and guidance.
