LAHORE: Due to intervention of Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab, FIR of British National Pakistani has been lodged to recover the plot worth Rs 800 million against influential personality involved in fraud.
According to the details, British National Overseas Pakistani Munir Ahmad Khan Daha lodged a complaint in OPC to retrieve the land which had been illegally occupied by former Secretary National Assembly Aslam Shami.
The OPC took further action on the complaint and got the FIR lodged in Islampura Police Station against former Secretary National Assembly for forging the documents. According to FIR, accused made bogus power of attorney to file a suit and obtained degree from court fraudulently.
Munir Ahmad Khan has appreciated the efforts made by OPC especially Vice Chairperson Overseas Pakistanis Commission Ch. Waseem Akhtar. The complainant said that I have been knocking the door of every department for two years but no justice had been served. I filed the complaint in OPC and within months, my FIR has been lodged.
While expressing the views on this occasion, Vice Chairperson OPC also said that Overseas Pakistanis are the backbone of the economy of Pakistan and redressal of their grievances is my top priority.
