Pak Navy and ANF bust major drug smuggling attempt at sea

KARACHI;Pakistan Navy in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in a successful intelligence-based operation busted on Friday a major contingent of narcotics being sent by sea, the Navy’s Public Relations Wing said.

the seaways adjacent to Mubarak Village and impounded a vessel carrying copious amounts of hashish  and heroin.

The statement said that the approximate value of the recovered 675 kilograms of hashish and four kilograms of heroin is Rs300 million.

The spokesman for Pakistan Navy said that the operation was completed in collaboration with the ANF, who remained vigilant on the suspected vessel and during the entire operation.

The spokesman also said that the operation was a testament to the ability and capability of Pakistan Navy and its resolve to keep the seaways of Pakistan clean of any criminal activity or misadventure.

The official statement said that the Pakistan Navy was ever ready to perform their duties with utmost vigilance and integrity(INP).
