QUETTA, KARACHI, LAHORE, RAWALPINDI:
In series of raids, Anti- Narcotics Force (ANF) Pakistan seized 3060.495 Kgs Narcotics valuing Rs. 2.243 Billion internationally, arrested 12 culprits and impounded 2 vehicles while conducting 11 counter-narcotic strikes.
The seized drugs comprised of 3045.485 Kg Hashish, 4.8 Kg Opium, 1.69 Kg Heroin, 7.32 Kg Methamphetamine, 0.9 Kg Amphetamine and 2680x Xanax Tablets, INF said in a press statement.
In an intelligence based operation, ANF Quetta conducted a raid at general area of Killi Damam, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah and recovered 2810 Kg Hashish, which was kept in sacks. As per initial reports, the narcotics were kept hidden for handing over to some other narcotics gang. In another operation, ANF Quetta arrested two accused identified as Muhammad Ramzan and Abdullah residents of Jaffarabad and recovered 16.8 Kg Hashish from their personal possession. They were arrested near Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zahid Medical Complex, Teshil and District Quetta.
ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused identified as Shafiq Khan resident of Kohat at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 900 grams Amphetamine which was concealed in his trolley bag. He was proceeding to KSA by Flight No. EY-234.
ANF Lahore intercepted a Indonesia bound parcel at cargo complex, Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore and recovered 1.690 Kg Heroin, which was soaked in 36x Bukram Pieces. In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Sahiwal Motorway Interchange, Faisalabad and recovered 16.8 Kg Hashish and 4.8 Kg Opium which was concealed in secret cavities of the car. Resultantly an accused identified as Jabbar Hussani resident of Toba Tek Singh was arrested during the operation. In third operation, ANF Lahore recovered 1 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two accused namely Salman Masood and Khursheed Malik both resident of Bahawalpur. They were arrested near Qutabpur Toll Plaza, Khanewal Express Highway, Lodhran.
ANF Peshawar arrested Islam Gul resident of Lower Dir at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 2680x Xanax Tablets (weighing 300 grams), which was concealed in 3x plastic bottles. He was travelling to Jeddah by Flight No. PK-735. In another operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Ghulam Nabi resident of Kurram Agency at Peshawar international Airport and recovered 2.8 Kg Hashish from his trolley bag. He was boarding for Doha by Flight No. QR-601. Moreover, on the pointation of arrested accused ANF Peshawar conducted a raid at Orakzai Hangu Hostel, Faqirabad and recovered 85 grams Hashish from personal possession of Ahsan Ullah resident of Hangu.
ANF Karachi arrested an accused identified as Yasir Shah resident of Charsadda at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 6 Kg Methamphetamine, which was soaked in clothes. The arrested accused was boarding for Riyadh by Flight No. SV-715. In another operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a Toyota Double Cabin vehicle near Rangers Check Post, Zakriyya Goth, Super Highway, Karachi and recovered 198 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. Resultantly an accused identified as Ahmad Ullah resident of Qilla Abdulllah was arrested. In third operation, ANF Karachi in collaboration with ASF arrested Saranzeb resident of Swat at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and recovered 1.320 Kg Methamphetamine from his bag. He was boarding for Madina by Flight No. PK-743.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997, ANF statement added.
