ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has confirmed 1,764 new coronavirus cases during last 24 hours highest daily toll that took the tally round the country to 25,837. 35 new deaths were cofirmed during past 24 hours taking the toll to 605.
The nation-wide tally of coronavirus infections reached to 25,837 as 1,764 new cases were reported during last 24 hours. Death toll crossed the 605 mark with 35 new fatalities were confirmed during last 24 hours.
As per the latest figure given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,764 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours, as during the time Pakistan 11,993 tests while overall figures of tests conducted country-wide was 257,247. The tally of people who have defeated the COVID-19 and returned safe home was 7,530.
As per the figure given on Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC, the province-wise break up at 10:10am on May 08, Friday, was total 25,837 after new cases were confirmed. Punjab remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic, followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Province-wise break up shows the figure that Punjab crossed the 10,000 figure with tally of 10,033 of coronavirus cases have v=been confirmed in Punjab province followed by 9,093 infections of coronavirus pandemic in Sindh. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3,956, in Balochistan toll surged to figure of confirmed cases 1,725, 394 was figure in Gilgit-Baltistan, 558 in Islamabad Capital Territory and 78 in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up at 10:10am on May 08, Friday, total deaths reported in the country were 605 after 35 more fatalities were reported round the country. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on top of the fatalities list with 209 deaths while Punjab at number 2 with 194 deaths, Sindh stands with 171, Balochistan 24, Gilgit-Baltistan 3 and Islamabad Capital Territory 4.
Globally, the coronavirus cases reported were more than 3.77 million with more than 262,000 deaths since the virus emerged in China in December.
