ISLAMABAD: Pakistan witnessed another worst ever day after reporting 5.385 new coronavirus infections and 83 new deaths during last 24 hours round the country.
With 5,385 new cases reported in last 24 hours the toll of infections surged to 113,702 cases while the death toll jumped to 2,255.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed 113.702 coronavirus infections in the country as it reported 2,255 deaths due to COVID-19. Two provinces of the country crossed the 40,000 toll of infections including Punjab 43,460 and Sindh 41,3030 infections.
According to province break-up given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC Punjab is at top of the list as worst-hit province by the coronavirus pandemic with 43,460 confirmed cases the highest number along with 807 fatalities, followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 754,252 coronavirus tests and 23,799 in last 24 hours. 36,308 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. Coronavirus epidemic patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.
According to latest figure displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on June 10, Wednesday 9:30am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 113,702 infections show that Punjabis at top of the infections list with 43,060 coronavirus cases followed by Sindh with.41,303 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have crossed 14,527 confirmed infections, in Balochistan toll surged to 7,031, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 974 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 5,963 and 444 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 2,255 deaths reported in the country. Punjab is at top of the list of confirmed deaths with 807 as Sindh with 696 deaths at number two. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa death toll surged to 610 and the province has shown a little decline in fatalities. Balochistan 62 Gilgit-Baltistan 14, Islamabad Capital Territory 57 and AJK 9.
