ISLAMABAD: Pakistan lost 60 more lives to coronavirus pandemic during last 24 hours besides 2,964 confirmed infections were reported round the country on Monday.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed that 72,460 coronavirus epidemic infections round the country besides 1,543 deaths.
Sindh is still on top as worst hit province by the coronavirus pandemic as it has crossed the figure of 28,245 confirmed cases the highest number along with 481 fatalities, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan after crossing the milestone of half a million tests of the coronavirus epidemic has so far conducted 561,136 coronavirus tests and 14,398 in last 24 hours. 26,083 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. Patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.
According to latest figure given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on June 01, Monday 9:00am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 72,460 infections. Sindh jumped to 28,245 toll of coronavirus cases followed by Punjab with 26,240 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have crossed 10,000 infections mark by reaching to 10,027, in Balochistan toll surged to 4,393, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 711 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 2,589 and 255 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 1,543 deaths reported in the country. Punjab topped Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in COVID-19 deaths as toll in the province reached tp fatalities list with 497 as Sindh remains at number 2 with 481 deaths. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa death toll surged to 473 and the province has shown a little decline in fatalities. Balochistan 47, Gilgit-Baltisan 11, Islamabad Capital Territory 28 and AJK 6.
