LAHORE: Pakistan Railways authorities are considering giving passengers 5 to 10 per cent relief in fares after a reduction in diesel prices.
This month, the price of diesel has decreased for the second time and that is why Railways authorities considering giving some relief to passengers. In a month, diesel has become cheaper by Rs26 per litre.
PR officials revealed that Pakistan Railways Headquarters is considering a 5-10 per cent reduction in fares while Chief Marketing Manager recommended 5 per cent cut in Fares.
However, the final decision to reduce the fares will be taken after the approval of the Pakistan Railways Chairman, the officials said.
