ISLAMABAD: Third Wave of Coronavirus pandemic is taking new spoke across Pakistan as during last 24 hours 118 deaths were reported highest since July last while 4,318 more people were tested positive.
During last 24 hours 118 new deaths were reported besides 4,318 people were tested positive to virus, which was highest ever across the country. Government is looking for many options to curb the deadly virus.
On Tuesday morning the country has reported 118 new deaths by COVID-19 pandemic that took the jump of fatlities to and 15,619, while 4,318 more people were tested positive taking the toll to 729,920 round the Pakistan.
According to latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 118 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 4,318 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Punjab has been declared worst hit province during this month as positivity rate of the province was witnessed over 11 per cent in some parts. Sindh has reported 269,474 overall coronavirus epidemic infections remained the worst-hit province of the country in terms of cases followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far across the country 269,474 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 252,974 in Punjab, 100,275 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 66,983 in Islamabad, 20,397 in Balochistan, 14,687 in Azad Kashmir and 5,130 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 15,619 out of that 7,062 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,530 in Sindh, 2,683 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 617 in Islamabad, 407 in Azad Kashmir, 217 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 10,829,994 coronavirus tests across the country and 50,520 in the last 24 hours. 638,267 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,198 patients are in critical condition.
