ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported 2 more deaths and 194 more people have been contracted with the novel coronavirus during last 24 hours.
According to the latest figures appeared on the National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 194 more people have been tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours while two more people have lost their lives.
NCOC reported that with 194 more people were infected by the COVID-19 in last one day the overall number of positive cases has risen to 1,524,549. Besides two more deaths reported last one day the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,349 on Wednesday morning.
During last 24 hours Pakistan has conducted 30,349 coronavirus tests in the last 24 hours out of which 194 people were tested positive. The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.70 per cent.
The NCOC in its province-wise update on coronavirus reported that Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The NCOC has confirmed the overall death toll across Pakistan has reached to 30,349 out of which 13,554 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 8,095 in Sindh, 6,316 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,023 in Islamabad, 792 in Azad Kashmir, 378 in Balochistan and 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The NCOC also reported that overall number of positive cases across Pakistan has jumped to 1,524,549, out of which 575,109 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 504,962 in Punjab, 218,988 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 135,058 in Islamabad, 43,261 in Azad Kashmir, 35,471 in Balochistan and 11,700 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 27,442,945 coronavirus tests and 30,349 in the last 24 hours. 1,485,609 patients have recovered in the country whereas 420 patients are in critical condition.
So far, 128,074,138 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 131,491 in last 24 hours. 101,881,176 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 501,747 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
The number of total administered doses has reached to 219,368,557 with 678,788 in the last 24 hours.
