Pakistan reports 57 new deaths, 2801 new cases during last 24 hrs; toll jumps to 64,028

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported 57 new COVID-19 deaths across the country besides 2,801 new infections during last 24 hours. The death toll across the Pakistan jumped to 1,317 and the confirmed infection reached to the toll of 64,028 on Friday morning.

The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed that 64,028 coronavirus epidemic infections round the country along with 1,317 deaths.

Sindh is still the worst-hit province by the coronavirus pandemic as it has crossed the toll of 25,309 confirmed cases the highest number along side 396 fatalities, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Pakistan has crossed the half a million tests of the coronavirus epidemic as so far conducted 520,017 coronavirus tests and 11,931 in last 24 hours. 22,305 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. Patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.

According to latest figure given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on May 29, Friday 10:15am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 64,028 infections. Sindh jumped to 25,309 toll of coronavirus cases followed by Punjab with 22,964 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have reached to 8,842, in Balochistan toll surged to 3,928, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 658 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 2,100 and 227 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.

The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 1,317 deaths reported in the country. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on top of the fatalities list with 432 deaths while Punjab at number 2 with 410 deaths, Sindh stands with 396 fatalities, Balochistan 43, Gilgit-Baltisan 9, Islamabad Capital Territory 22 and AJK 5.
