Pakistan reports 7-month low of 838 COVID-19 new cases, 59 new deaths in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reports 838 new cases of COVID-19, the lowest of last seven months besides 59 new deaths during last 24 hours.
The Government functionaries on Tuesday morning have confirmed 59 new deaths and 838 more people were tested positive. 838 new coronavirus cases took the toll of infections to 943,027 cases. During last 24 hours 59 new deaths were reported that took the toll of fatalities to 21,782.
According to latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC conducted 14 million tests so far while 35,039 COVID-19 tests across conducted across Pakistan on Wednesday out of them 838 were tested positive.
The coronavirus positivity ratio in Pakistan stands less than 3 per cent as on Sunday. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the country is 78,959,  while 880,316 people have recovered from the virus so far and 2,611 were reported to be in critical condition.
Punjab remained the worst hit province as the toll of infections reached to 344,196 in the province. Sindh has reported 328,663 overall coronavirus epidemic infections, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
The new cases have taken the national tally of positive cases to 943,027 with 344,196 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 328,663 in Sindh, 136,205 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,170 in Islamabad, 26,275 in Balochistan, 19,791 in Azad Kashmir and 5,727 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide till of deaths surged to 21,782 out of that 10,548 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,256 in Sindh, 4,234 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 773 in Islamabad, 569 in Azad Kashmir, 294 in Balochistan, and 108 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
So far till Tuesday morning Pakistan has so far conducted Pakistan has so far conducted 13,892,289 coronavirus tests and 35,039 in the last 24 hours. 880,316 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,611 patients are in critical condition.
