ISLAMABAD: Pakistan surpassed China in COVID-19 confirmed infection cases as toll reaches 85,264 country-wide against Chinese toll of 83,021 confirmed cases. and the coronavirus deaths crossed 1,770. Coronavirus claimed another 82 lives in Pakistan during last 24 hours while 4,688 more people have been tested positive to coronavirus on Thursday.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed 85,264 coronavirus infections in the country crossing the Chinese toll of infections. As well the deaths of 1,770 people due to COVID-19.
Sindh is still on top of the list as worst hit province by the coronavirus pandemic with 32,910 confirmed cases the highest number along side with 526 fatalities, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 615,511 coronavirus tests and 20,167 in last 24 hours. 30,128 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. Coronavirus epidemic patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.
According to latest figure displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on June 04, Thursday 9:30am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 82,264 infections. Sindh jumped to 32,910 coronavirus cases followed by Punjab with.31,104 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have crossed 11,373 confirmed infections, in Balochistan toll surged to 5,224, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 824 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 3,544 and 285 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 1,770 deaths reported in the country. Punjab at top of the list of confirmed deaths with 607 as Sindh remains at number 2 with 555 deaths. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa death toll surged to 500 and the province has shown a little decline in fatalities. Balochistan 51, Gilgit-Baltisan 12, Islamabad Capital Territory 38 and AJK 7.
