ISLAMABAD: Pakistan during last 24 hours has tested 2076 positive cases nation-wide and 36 new deaths wer reported. The coronavirus pandemic confirmed infections have topped 61,227toll on Thursday while confirmed death toll crossed 1,261.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed that 61,227 infections of the COVID-19 round the country with 1,261 fatalities.
Sindh is still the worst-hit province by the coronavirus pandemic as it has crossed the toll of 24,206 confirmed cases the highest number along side with 380 fatalities, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan has crossed the half a million tests of the coronavirus epidemic as so far conducted 508,086 coronavirus tests and 8,687 in last 24 hours. 20,231 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. Patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.
According to latest figure given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on May 28, Thursday 10:00am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 61,227 infections. Sindh jumped to 24,206 toll of coronavirus cases followed by Punjab with 22,037 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have reached to 8,483, in Balochistan toll surged to 3,616, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 651 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 2,015 and 219 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 1,261 deaths reported in the country. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on top of the fatalities list with 425 deaths while Sindh at number 2 with 380 deaths, Punjab stands with 381 fatalities, Balochistan 42, Gilgit-Baltisan 9, Islamabad Capital Territory 19 and AJK 5.
