ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus second wave is still continue and during last 24 hours 2,521 more people were tested positive country wide while 43 more people died on Sunday.
Pakistan reported 2,521 new infections of coronavirus epidemic during last 24 hours while 43 new deaths have been confirmed. With 2,521 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 519,291 cases and with 43 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 10,951 deaths.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 43 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 2,521 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 234,654 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far 234,654 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 149,222 in Punjab 63,339 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,019 in Islamabad, 18,569 in Balochistan, 8,606 in Azad Kashmir and 4,882 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 10,951 out of that 4,409 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,775 in Sindh, 1,779 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 456 in Islamabad, 241 in Azad Kashmir, 190 in Balochistan, and 101 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,367,622 coronavirus tests and 41,191 in the last 24 hours. 473,639 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,373 patients are in critical condition.
