Pakistan to set up technology zones, first artificial intelligence centre

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has decided to establish technology zones across the country, which is part of its Rs 6.26 billion plan to digitize the country.

Federal Ministry of Information Technology has decided to set up technology zones with Rs 6.26 billion to digitize the country.

The government of Pakistan is also going to create Pakistan’s first artificial intelligence centre with China’s help. It will cost Rs 1 billion.

Parliament is also going to be digitized very soon and Federal Ministry of Information Technology plans to use technology to record attendance, votes and quorum. This will cost Rs 8 million.

The Sindh and Balochistan governments’ data is also going to be protected under this plan and a NTC data centre will be set up in Karachi.
