TORKHAM: Pakistanis stuck in Afghanistan have started to return to the country via the Torkham border, the district police office (DPO) Torkham said on Saturday.
According to the Police chief, there are 500 Pakistanis who were stranded in Afghanistan at the moment due to coronavirus epidemic and due to closure of the border after spread of epidemic all over the world. “All the stranded people are returning, who will be quarantined on return,” the DPO added.
Meanwhile, Two more flights carrying stranded Pakistanis arrived Lahore on Saturday morning, a spokesperson for the district administration said.
“Passengers from both the flights have been shifted to a quarantine centre at the Lahore airport after undergoing screening,” the spokesperson added.
