KARACHI: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of major opposition parties, is waging war for the survival of Pakistan.
He was addressing the PDM anti-government public meeting, the second power show of the alliance organized by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Karachi. The highly crowded gathering at Bagh e Jinnah of the provincial metropolis was attended by charged party workers of political parties, members of the political alliance.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that PDM came into being for the survival of democracy in the country and added that our struggle will continue till the achievement of our goal.
Lashing out at the Prime Minister Imran Khan, the JUI-F chief said that he who came into power after stealing the votes has destroyed the economy of the country.
Fazlur Rehman criticized premier saying Imran Khan had promised to give five million houses to poor but he has demolished 50,000 houses in the name of anti-encroachment derive. He had promised to create 10 million jobs but he has made 2.5 million people unemployed.
A revolution is always brought by the poor and not by rich, PDM chief opined, adding, “We did not learn to live by sacrificing self-esteem and added that we want to live with dignity in the country and it is not possible for us to recognize the present government”.
